Birmingham based high security door manufacturer Warrior Doors, has invested £500,000 in a new TRUMPF TruBend 5320 Brake Press.
The brand-new Brake Press will enable Warrior Doors to bring all their metal folding for their products in-house.
The TruBend 5320, can semi-automatically fold pieces of steel with a press force of up to 320 tons on its 4.5m bed, and will allow Warrior Doors to fold key product parts such as threshold covers.
Previously the company outsourced its metal folding to 3rd party manufacturers, however the new brake press means not only will Warrior Doors be able to fold metal in-house but will now be able to rent the machine’s spare capacity to local businesses as well.
